As long as there is a law that bans FGM in Kenya the director of public prosecution in Kenya (DPP) Sir Keriakor Tobiko will not give in to the demands of some Kenyan members of parliament, government officials(chiefs) and Maasai women community leaders who are Pro-FGM excusing this atrocity as culture!By Ambassador Lucy Mashua Sharp

Despite resistance to ending FGM, the DPP Mr Tobiko has pledged to pursue the issue. I have no powers to abrogate legislation that has been enacted by parliament. For as long as that legislation is there, I will enforce it."DPP said While indicating that he would not waver on the issue! DPP and I come from the Maasai community and we know the road to end FGM is a bumpy ride and dangerous,I have been in talks with Mr Tobiko back and fourth he is easily accessible and a very humble straight forward person,We are brainstorming together week days and sometimes over the weekend as it happens and we are teaming up to take this fight to the next level. But first we start with our own community as charity begins at home. After many of you international Anti-FGM activists flooded my emails with question and on our ANTI-FGM facebook pages addressing your disappointment over the Pro-FGM demonstrations with over 2000 women and men community members from the Maasai demanding decriminalization of FGM in Kajiado. On June 12 to protest against a 2011 law specifically banning FGM.It was the second such demonstration held in the town this month.Well its not going to happen FGM is recognized as a human-right violation in the universal declaration on human-rights so as the global ambassador against FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION I argue Kenyan government to join DPP a government official who believes in human-rights a man who is passionately dedicated to fight this good fight Mr Tobiko is the first DIRECTOR OF PROSECUTION in Africa to appoint Anti-FGM officers in all the counties to fight and educate against the FGM,Anti-FGM activists in Kenya and I to restore the dignity of womanhood and stopping the robbing of childhood,It's torture,it's deadly,it's painful and it is a slow death sentence of women reproductive system. FGM is also illegal under the 2001 Children's Act, and a new bill on domestic violence due to be tabled in parliament is to introduce stiffer penalties for those who practice it. Do you think this is right? in the Maasai community do you know how many child brides and women bleed to death everyday giving birth and instant mutilation? Due to lack of proper and sufficient medical attention,Fistula cases are 2 out of 5 Maasai women is this worth it? Come on its not a curse it's called FGM complications a darkness that haunts a woman forever,Even when you get reconstructive surgery you never gain what was robbed from you!Is this fair? 2 out of 20 women suffer vagina keloids,HERE ARE MYTHS AND LIES FROM THE PIT OF HELL JUSTIFYING FGM.Maasai community in Kajiado who refuse to give up FGM views.Baby Malaika is only one year old but her mother has already decided that she will undergo the procedure,Baby Malaika's mother said her other four daughters faced the FGM after they reached the age of ten. She does not understand why FGM is illegal given the cultural belief that it averts a curse on the wider family. "If a girl is not mutilated,it is a curse," she said. "Her parents, her sisters and her brothers will die early. So if a girl refuses to be mutilated, she is cursing her family and she is an enemy and so are the anti-FGM activists. "These things are real, we have seen them happen. There is a man in this village who died after his unmutilated daughter became pregnant." Last month, a girl died in Kajiado after she underwent FGM and bled to death. Malaika's mother said the girl died because she was already cursed.(This doesn't make sense so you can undergo FGM and still remain cursed? what a myth)oooh wait a minute here comes an "explanation" and "justification" for the 1st degree MURDER!. "The curse caused the death of the girl. One of her parents wanted her to be mutilated and the other parent was opposed to it. That was already a curse. She died because of the disagreement. No one ever died because of FGM," Maliaka's mother said.
Another problem is that women who have not undergone FGM cannot be assisted during childbirth because the Maasai believe it is a curse to touch the blood of a female who has not been mutilated. Ben Seiya took part in the June 12 demonstration and also attended mediation talks with government representatives who travelled to Kajiado to listen to the protesters' concerns. He believes the practice will end one day, but he is not yet prepared to abandon his belief in it. "My wife is mutilated, and if I marry a second wife she has to be mutilated,"Said Ben. "If she is not mutilated when she is giving birth, no woman will help her as they cannot touch her blood. Also, you know that I will be belittled if I have a woman who is unmutilated for a wife." "
This one here is that child bride an FGM survivor giving birth imagine the unimaginable,With villages far away from nearest medical clinic and no doctor to take this child to an emergency C-section both the baby and the child mama will die.
The above picture shows an a stitched up vagina with a small hole for urine only to be reopened as soon as the first night as a child bride. Really any government that will be inhuman enough to allow such torturous treatment masking as culture to happen to her children they should face crimes against humanity! Any government official that supports this atrocity should be fired! In Kenya, chiefs are low-level administrators appointed as part of policing mechanisms to help maintain order in their local area. The June protests followed recent cases where chiefs have been charged with complicity in FGM in their own communities. Lekishon Moriaso, a chief serving in Kenya's Narok South District, appeared in court in April after his two daughters underwent FGM. He was charged with aiding the operation and with knowingly allowing it to take place in his home. Meanwhile, Joshua Kaaka, a chief in Kajiado, is facing charges of failing to report acts of FGM carried out against several girls in his area. DPP told me the two cases are still in court. Unconfirmed news is the chief who were charged by the prosecutor on FGM charges where even a girl bled to death lead and organised the PRO-FGM demonstration on June 12. When the Kenyan parliament debated the issue on June 17, members from some areas where FGM remains widespread called for the ban to be lifted. Jimmy Angwenyi, the member for Kitutu Chache North, told parliament that FGM was an important cultural institution and those practicing it should not face prosecution. "I wonder why this parliament wants to criminalise people's culture," he said. "The Kisii culture is that we must mutilate our girls." The member of parliament for Nyamira, Alice Chae, an ethnic Kisii who is a survivor of FGM, rounded on Angwenyi. "I wish he was a woman like me who underwent it [FGM] and is surviving," she said. "It is wrong, it is pathetic, and it is primitive."! I have said so many times that politicians and some members of parliament in Kenya value their political career over the lives of their constituents, They would rather bite their tongue not to say anything so that they don't lose the bloody votes, and some will promote FGM to please the mutilators for the bloody votes.I ask president Uhuru Kenyatta,1st Lady of Kenya, and 2nd Lady Mrs Ruto to not allow any pussy footing around dangerous cultures that destablise the future of women and children,Any culture that goes against the universal declaration of human-rights should be stopped asap!DPP sir Tobiko, ANTI-FGM activists on the ground, The newly appointed ANTI-FGM officers in the counties level by the office of director of prosecution and I the global ambassador for fighting against Female Genital Mutilation Lucy Mashua Sharp we will come up with educational guidelines to teach communities involved the true danger behind FGM and search for permanent solutions. I salute you director of public prosecution of Kenya Sir Keriakor Tobiko you have gone places in the fight against FGM where no one else have dared go,you are going against our community taboos and risking it all for the women and children of Kenya, I give you my word I will work with you side by side from the diaspora as technology has made it easier for real time results, as my fellow UK activist Hillary titled our statement on FGM "FIGHTING FGM FROM OUR KEY BOARD" am going to add "FIGHTING FGM FROM OUR SMART PHONES"

Trial for the murder of the 13 years old Sohair al-Bata in Egypt is on, but the charges are ridiculous they are blaming allergic reaction and the dead girl excessive genital skin!! This is insulting and a big blow to FGM survivors and true FGM activists!and all those that have died from FGM. Lucy Mashua Sharp

We all remember about the sad story I shared with last year about 13 years old Sohair al-Bata who bled to death in Egypt now the doctor is in trial. The doctor will stand trial on Thursday on charges of female genital mutilation following the death of a 13-year-old girl who underwent FGM last June, marking the first prosecution since the practice was banned in Egypt. Sohair al-Bata'a died in June 2013 at Raslan Halawa's clinic. "The story unfolded when the victim's father filed a complaint, accusing the doctor of killing his daughter after performing an FGM operation," said Mona Amin, the general coordinator of National Population Council's national project for banning FGM. Her father will also stand trial for taking her to undergo the operation. During investigation, the father retracted from his initial police report statements accusing the doctor, instead, he claimed his daughter was suffering from pelvic pain, and was diagnosed of having "excess" skin that had to be removed through a doctor. Halawa has denied carrying out FGM. Instead, he stated that the victim suffered from "excess" skin which he had removed by cauterization. He insisted that she died because of an allergic reaction to the anesthetic medication. The coroner, assigned by the Public Prosecution, held the doctor responsible for failing to test El-Batea for allergic reactions. However, he reported that medical intervention to remove "excess" skin was "right". The punishment for performing FGM is a prison sentence ranging from three months to two years or a fine of 5,000 Egyptian pounds. The investigation was pushed for by the National Population Council (NPC) last November, which demanded establishing a committee of forensic experts to verify the real cause of death, stated Amin. Based on the results of the investigation, the doctor was charged with wrongful death. He was also charged, along with the father, with performing FGM and referred to trial. At least 91 percent of Egyptian females in the age group 15-49 have undergone FGM, according to the 2008 census. Although doctors now perform 70 percent of these operations, traditional midwives and health barbers usually carried out the practice.
RIP baby girl no matter what your dad say or the doctor that killed you, You didn't deserve to die it was unnecessary, uncalled for, unkind, cruel, evil and atrocious! UK never cease to amuse me!:)Immigrants 'should sign FGM declaration before entering UK'

Campaigners called for immigrants to be required to sign a declaration promising not to subject their daughters to genital mutilation before being allowed into Britain. Leading figures in the fight against FGM called for a special pledge to be brought in to ensure everybody is clear that the practice is against the law. London MEP Marina Yannakoudakis said she will raise the issue with the government and called for more research to identify other countries that have introduced declarations. The idea of an FGM declaration was raised at a meeting of prominent London campaigners, organised by Ms Yannakoudakis to give their views on various anti-FGM initiatives. She said: “As people choose to move to Britain or elsewhere in Europe, it seems relevant to remind them of the social standards that apply here. “That should include an acceptance that certain practices are not only unacceptable but illegal. This proposal will form part of a package of recommendations which I plan to send to the UK Government and EU Commission.” GREAT IDEA ,ACTUALLY AWESOME.I SUPPORT IT 100% Ambassador Lucy S. FGM BLOOD ON THE FLOOR AND RAPE IN BED, THE PRICE OF FGM AND CHILD BRIDE.At 13 ,mutilated, married, pregnant and lost the baby due to Fistula caused by FGM and 5 reconstructive surgeries By Ambassador Lucy Mashua Sharp ,courtesy of Daily nation Kenya.

YES THIS CHILD BY THE TIME SHE WAS 13 YEARS OLD,SHE HAD BEEN MUTILATED, BECAME PREGNANT,LOST THE BABY DUE TO FISTULA(STILL BIRTH,DIVORCED.SHE SAYS SHE COULD NOT HOLD OR CONTROL URINE OR BOWEL MOVEMENT AND HAD NO IDEA THAT IT WAS FGM COMPLICATION, THE HUSBAND FORCED HER TO BE MUTILATED. FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION have been labelled “culture” and “tradition” by its proponents, dressed up to look and sound nice — sort of like painting the walls of a prison — but deep within it remains, at least to me, the lowest that a people can stoop. Hello dear reader. My name is Irene Chelegat. I am aged 20 and the story I want to tell you is based on my personal experiences, first, as a woman and, second, as a wife. It is a story that I hope will change the lives of my peers for the better, a story that I have been yearning to tell for a long time. I come from Kapenguria, a timid dusty town 430 kilometres to the north-west of Nairobi. I call the town timid because, over the years, I have watched it cow into submission as the scorching sun battles for supremacy with dry winds that lick life out of anything that stands in their way. And the hills that surround my little town have for centuries stood and watched in disturbing muteness, like witnesses to a crime, as the place loses the battle with the elements. Beneath that timidity, however, lies something more sinister and heart-wrenching. And I am the very personification of the effects of that sinister monster. It has been labelled “culture” and “tradition” by its proponents, dressed up to look and sound nice — sort of like painting the walls of a prison — but deep within it remains, at least to me, the lowest that a people can stoop. My reasons for that evaluation are four: One, I was 13 when I got married; two, I was 13 when I was mutilated; three, I was 13 when I lost my baby through obstructed labour; and, four, I was 13 when I was divorced. Yes, by the time the average Kenyan girl of my age was preparing for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination, I had been married and divorced, and left with scars that I have struggled with ever since. It is easy, then, to see why I may sound a little bitter about the timidity of Kapenguria. It all began in 2007, when I was a Standard Four pupil at Chepararia Primary School. I had just entered teenage and was beginning to notice changes in my body when a 24-year-old man asked me to be his girlfriend. He had pursued me for a while, but since I was in school most of the time, we could only meet during the holidays, when he would visit and bring me gifts. After a short while, I was hooked. When we eventually got intimate, I thought it was part of the normal friendship between boys and girls. After all, other girls reported having similar experiences during the holidays. After some time, however, I noticed I was growing round and plump, but I did not think much of it. It was only after I heard my boyfriend telling his friends that I was pregnant that I realised what was happening. Then aged 13, I had no idea what being pregnant was, but at least I now understood why my skin was dry, why I felt sleepy in the afternoons and had bouts of nausea. Most importantly, I understood that I was not sick, but that a baby was growing inside me. Consequently, I dropped out of school and moved in with my boyfriend. He did not have a steady job but managed to provide for us. I did not go for any antenatal visits, but towards the eighth month, he took me to a clinic in a place called Seger. The doctor insisted that I visit the clinic daily for check-ups, but I never went back. My boyfriend, now pressured by the turn of events, said he would marry me, but on condition that I agreed to be mutilated. You see, my community considers un-mutilated girls children, and therefore does allow children to give birth to children. So, to be a woman and a mother, I had to undergo FGM. I had been told about the pain involved, but my boyfriend insisted it was the only ticket to marriage. Since I did not want to shame my husband-to-be or my family, I agreed to undergo the procedure. Turns out the man had done his homework well and knew not only who would mutilate me, but how much we would have to pay for the procedure as well. Mutilation is a two-day affair here. The first day is marked by traditional dances and rituals. In the early morning cold, we sang traditional folk songs as red ochre was applied on our faces. There were older women around to take us through the steps of becoming a woman. Then the 81 of us made a timid file into a hut. From the mood and the terse talks, you could tell that it was a solemn occasion. Most of my fellow initiates were between 18 and 19 years. I was among the youngest, but that did not matter since we would all walk out as women. Two of the initiates were as heavily pregnant as I was. I had the privilege, or so I thought, of being the first under the knife. The circumciser, an old woman, had a razor in one hand and a spear in the other. The spear, we had been warned, was to stab anyone who showed any fear during the procedure. She charged Sh500 for the honour. She came up to me, her eyes glistening with excitement, pulled my face close to hers and asked if I had willingly chosen this path. Of course I had not, I wanted to tell her, but there was no backing out now. My marriage, honour and respect were at stake, and so I nodded my response. I knew what was expected of me at this point, so I immediately lay on my back and arched my legs. She smeared some warm ash on me and the next minute... I felt as if ants were clawing and sawing and pinching their way up my back. Chop. Chop. Slice. Each mutilation accompanied by such searing pain that I can’t put it into words. Rivulets of blood dripped down my thighs to the ground, but at least I was inching closer to being a woman. This was worth every drop of blood, right? When she was done, she bound my legs at the ankles and thighs with a sisal rope. As I continued bleeding, some women lifted me and placed me on the dewy grass outside the hut. I was numb from the pain, but that was just day one. The next day she would work on what was left of my “childish” parts. I could not move or walk or go to the toilet as the pain wracked my body. The second mutilation was even worse. The pain felt like a thousand daggers on my flesh. She cut everything out and stitched it all up again. I looked and felt like — how do I put this — a knee. All flat. No bumps. Nothing there. It was all gone. Unlike others, my wound took time to heal and when it did three weeks later, there was barely any opening, making urinating extremely painful for me. Then, as fate would have it, I went into labour shortly after the wound healed. The labour brought with it a fresh bout of pain that was beyond what I had imagined. My waters just broke unexpectedly, and for hours I did not go to the hospital. Eventually, my husband took me back to the clinic in Seger, where they said there was no passage for the baby, so I had to undergo an emergency operation. I was transferred to Ortum Mission hospital, north of Kitale, where they could save my life and, hopefully, that of my child. I was tired and weak, and each contraction took a little life out of me. By the time doctors performed a Caesarian Section on me, the baby had already died, possibly from the exhaustion. To make matters worse, when I came to, I realised I could not contain my urine or stool. I panicked and asked the doctor what was happening: “You are torn,” he replied, meaning I had developed a condition known as fistula. I was in hospital for six months. My husband one day came to visit me with a flask of tea. He offered me a cup and when I drank it, I wet my bed almost immediately. Ignorant of what fistula is, he said I was cursed and broke the news that he was leaving me for greener pastures. He accused me of being unfaithful and called some old men who told me that I would recover if I named the men I had cheated on my husband with. HUSBAND REMARRIED And so, while I was still aged 13, my husband remarried. He now has two wives, both of them my age mates. And, most importantly, mutilated. I was alone and destitute when my maternal aunt, who had been taking care of me since my mum died in 2004, came for me — here is where I get to tell you that I do not know my biological father. At home, I could not leave the house because of the stench I was releasing. I was scared of eating or drinking anything. For six years I endured shame, and my self-esteem hit rock bottom. Then one day I went back to Ortum Hospital for assistance and was referred to Moi Referral and Teaching Hospital in Eldoret. It was here that I met officers of the Sentinelles, a programme in West Pokot that intervenes in matters of FGM and early marriages, and which later introduced me to the African Medical and Research Foundation (Amref). During my stay at Moi Referral I discovered that my case was not unique. I saw hundreds of women with fistula. In fact, some cases were worse than mine. I was not cursed, after all! I underwent five reconstructive surgeries to repair the damage. It is now six months since my last operation in October last year and I am healed. My life is repaired, literally. But many other girls follow in my footsteps. My people should know that by subjecting their daughters and sisters to mutilation, they are not making them full women, but instead churning out broken women who believe they are cursed and useless. Female Genital Mutilation gives women a life of pain, misery and fistula, and I hope the government, through the Anti-FGM board led by Linah Jebii Kilimo, will go to the heart of timid Kapenguria and stop mutilation. One of the many saddest flashback From one FGM Survivor as she narrates to a blogger.. "How My Mother mutilated Me Then Married Me Off To a 60 Year Old" !

HERE IS THE STORY FROM ONE BRAVE SURVIVOR OF FGM AND CHILD MARRIAGE.(GRAB YOUR TISSUES). As you read this remember the FGM season is on in East Africa and come January many girls will be married off and kiss their childhood, and education goodbye:(. My name is Peris Lomurut. I am 20 Years old. I am from the tiny Rendille community. And I am a mother. To 4 children. I was born in January 16th 1993 in a tiny village, to the extreme north of Kenya. I attended Karare Primary School. But just briefly. Because in 2003,when I was in class 3,I was forcefully woken up by my mother and a team of some other three old, haggard women. It was 3am in the morning. Confused, they grabbed me. Shook me to consciousness and under the thick cover of darkness, whisked me off to some secluded location. I was confused. And unaware of what was going on. I tried to scream, but Mum held my mouth hard. And asked me to cooperate. I tried to free myself and run to safety, but I was too tiny. They easily overpowered me. After what seemed like an eternal journey, full of anguish and turmoil,I was pushed into a poorly-lit scraggly hut. And then I was dumped infront of a deathly-looking old woman. She grinned like a witch. And her eyes were cold. And hands were rough. Flipping me around, she ordered that the other women hold me down. And strip me NAKED. I was too young to comprehend the magnitude of this madness. And right there, other old women held me down,MY MOTHER INCLUDED. They stripped me naked. And ordered that I spread my legs. I refused. And started screaming and wailing. It was ALL in vain. A dirty piece of cloth was stuffed into my mouth. And I was firmly held down. And my legs forcefully pulled apart. I heard a blunt thing attempt to cut through my genitals. I heard it again. And by the third time,I think I passed out. I came to my senses HOURS later. It was daytime already. And Mum had hidden me at the back of our crumbling hut. I had been initiated to Womanhood. My genitals had been mutilated. And sown up. With a thorn. Yes,a sharp hard thorn. I had bled profusely. And now Mum and other wicked women were busy forcing me to swallow bitter concoctions of local herbs to alleviate my burning pain. It was Hell. My genitals were sewed up. Like a piece of torn cloth. I couldnt even pass urine. And anytime I attempted to do that, the pain would send me to the ground, writhing and cursing. After what seemed like forever, the wound healed. I was now the latest victim of Female Genital Mutilation. Following Year,in November 2004,My parents planned a forced marriage for me! Dad was there. Mum was there. My elder sisters were part of it. And one evening,an old man, well over 60 Years was introduced to me as my new groom. I almost collapsed. In shock. I excused myself. And pretended to have gone for a call of nature. But once I was outside,I fled. I ran away. And ended up at the Chief's camp. I met the chief. And,tearfully, narrated my ordeal to him. I was WRONG. Dead wrong. What happened is that, the chief pretended to pity me. And after I finished my story,he locked me up in a dark room. And told me he was hiding me. What a traitor! 30 minutes later,my parents and our whole clan showed up at the Chiefs camp. Plus the 60-Year old man. It later turned out that the Chief had sold me away. And alerted our people. Needless to say,a dozen sheep and goats were exchanged. As my bride price. And at the tender age of 11 Years,I became a wife. Sex began IMMEDIATELY. From the first night! And Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to say that it was the MOST PAINFUL sexual experience ever! Remember my genitals had been mutilated earlier. And tied up with bush strings and tiny thorns. In the MOST gory, inhuman and unprofessional manner. It wasnt just PAIN. It was HELL. I went numb. And almost passed out. I tried to protest and reason with this behemoth of a man. But my husband couldnt hear NONE of it. He subjected me to NOTHING but pure torture. For his OWN pleasure. For many, many cold nights. And from late 2004 to 2009,I was in a cold, disastrous, painful, loveless and forced marriage. And I was his FOURTH WIFE. To him,I wasnt a human being. Or an equal married partner. I was a sex toy. A baby-making machine. And sure enough,I DID MAKE Babies. Endlessly. I painfully gave birth to a string of 5 babies. Two of whom died. Due to ill health. And malnutrition. In 2009,I fled my marital home. And with the help of the St Augustine Catholic Church,I was whisked to Nairobi for safety. And mental rehabilitation. And for 4 Years now,I havent seen or heard from my parents. Or children. As I speak now, thousands of Rendille girls,Borana Girls and Samburu Girls and going through what I went through. As we speak now, some girl's tiny genitals are getting mutilated. If we dont ACT NOW. We will NEVER save the situation. There is a difference between CULTURE. And MADNESS. What I went through wasn't CULTURAL. That was DEMONIC. Pray for our sisters. Ambassador Lucy S. The attack on Keir Starmer DPP was uncalled for and it was RACIST by Councillor Rakhia Ismail! Shame on you Rakhia! You owe that sweet man an APOLOGY!! FGM DO EXIST.By Ambassador Lucy Mashua Sharp.

Racism goes both ways! And now race cards are being played by FGM condoners / mutilators / ignorants / deniers and just the stupids!! Most African females that condone or deny FGM are using racism "White vs Black" to attack the white activists working and joining in the fight against FGM , Yes I know there is a history of white organisations that continue to use African problems like FGM and mortality rate for their own profit or 5 minutes of fame, and they make sure none of African led non-profits gets directly funded to fight FGM without them involved. But with that said I know tones of Westerners activists who genuinely condemn FGM and really are dedicated to help end this barbaric atrocious practice worldwide!!, So some few very few so called educated African females living in the west that condones or deny FGM they are using racism as a tool to silence the white activists and law makers who sincerely want to see the end of FGM , The attack on a top legal chief Keir Starmer by Councillor Rakhia Ismail ( Somali origin and a survivor of FGM herself) , was uncalled for , stupid, and just racist!! Shame on you Rakhia by ignoring FGM happens to this day and millions of young girls and women are suffering and because you have not done anything about FGM you are ashamed you are not voicing of problems affecting your very own because you are so full of your self it made you feel embarrassed when a white male tabled concern about FGM prosecutions in the UK!! Why be so defensive ma'am ? Are you guilty or embarrassed ? "Director of Public Prosections Keir Starmer told an audience at Islington Town Hall that no one had been prosecuted under a 28-year-old law banning female genital mutilation (FGM) in Britain because it was too difficult to do so.Instead, he suggested charges of child abuse should be brought." Tell me is there something wrong with a genuine concern like these?, Why would you launch an astonishing RACIST attack on someone who genuinely want human rights abusers prosecuted?, by calling him "white middle-class bourgeoisie” who think that “all ethnic minority people are barbaric”.Educate yourself FGM does not only happens in Africa or to African immigrants only it is also in the Middle East ! Who are you protecting, RACE,CULTURE,RELIGION or MUTILATORS ? Yes I know when you want to win a debate and to silence a strong opponent yell the word RACIST and you will succeed to silence your opponent and cowardly cheat into winning debate!! Which I think it's total bull crap and people who play this cards are full of crap!! Councillor Rakhia Ismail you owe the director of public prosecution an apology, you ought to be investigated and finally shame on you for playing the RACE card on a silent killer like FGM which happens every 8-11 seconds to be honest you are the RACIST!, you are also a derby downer to every genuine Anti FGM activist, you are also an embarrassment to African women especially we East African women, and finally shame on you for throwing FGM survivors and victims under the bus and for denying FGM is going on!! By the Global Ambassador for fighting FGM and standing up for Women rights Ambassador Lucy Mashua Sharp.

In Tanzania about 5,000 girls aged between 10 and 16 were rounded up for mutilation in one region alone in two weeks and government admits they have failed in the fight against FGM! The truth is in East Africa FGM is still on the rise and it is performed in secret and at night! by Lucy Mashua

A group of school girls begging the Tanzania government to intervene against FGM, About 5,000 girls aged between 10 and 16 were rounded up for mutilation in Mara region alone from mid-last month, according to statistics provided by regional authorities, but a campaign spearheaded by the government failed to net the culprits. Female genital mutilation,is a crime in this country. Ms Ummy Mwalimu, the deputy minister for Community Development, Gender and Children, says the government’s efforts did not bear fruit because of the complex nature of the rite, which is deeply rooted in culture and traditional beliefs. Cracking down on the perpetrators was made even more difficult by a conspiracy between heads of clans and village leaders, who are paid for looking the other way as the traditionalists round up girls for the mutilation. In an interview with The Citizen this week, Ms Mwalimu said the only weapon at the disposal of the government was public education. She added: “We cannot end this problem only by the force of the law. Our greatest hope is to create awareness. We have been trying to engage traditional leaders who are said to encourage the practice.” The crackdown on female genital mutilation in Mara region during the season that started on December 15 last year did not materialise despite the "public pronouncements and promises of government officials", ( PEOPLE I KEEP TELLING YOU DO NOT BUY PROPAGANDA OF ORGANISATIONS CLAIMING VILLAGES DENOUNCING FGM IN AFRICA !!! FGM CONTINUES AND THE NGOs CONTINUE GETTING RECOGNIZED FOR NOTHING!!).Only two arrest were made if only in one village this genital genocide happened in two weeks how about the whole country? The government have resulted in asking the girls to escape on their own and when they do they will receive rewards when they do so. In the meantime, the number of camps that house those who escape will be boosted. Girls who escape could also be cited for “Hero-Girls Awards”, according to Ms Mwalimu. Mara region currently has only one refuge--Masanga camp--which houses 314 girls who fled to safety last month. The rescue campaign will also include setting up gender desks in police stations in four wards in Tarime district, chiefly to provide information and support victims and would-be targets. The desks are to be set up away from district police offices and closer to the people. FGM is now performed at night and in secret and more dangerous now as mutilators can't see well as they butcher causing more death and snitches are killed too!! I say Tanzania government arrest all mutilators charge them with 1st degree murders and with intent to kill enough with smooth talks and fake public denouncements and to African governments kick out all foreign Organisations who are lying about public denouncement and fake promises by mutilators are working!! because they get to get recognized for 0 work and funded while our women and girls suffer and die because FGM still continue and more riskier than ever!! And Western countries stop buying the propagandas that public denouncement / promise by my people works ooh my people can dance for free meals and handouts anytime and your !!! I am so pissed and pissed because just in december hundred of thousands were mutilated in Africa and this was not reported !! Ambassador Lucy Mashua . Ambassador Lucy S. NAKURU TOWN,RIFT VALLEY PROVINCE FGM ON THE RISE IN URBAN AREA THIS FGM SEASON IN KENYA..BY LUCY MASHUA

The Director of Gap Link in Nakuru town Tom Mboya has said that Nakuru is among the major towns that are practicing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the country. Speaking in Nakuru town on Friday morning during a press briefing, Mboya said that FGM had shifted from rural areas to urban areas ever since the government became tough on the communities which were still performing the act in the countryside. With reference to a recent research by the Gap Link, Mboya pointed that women visit their grand daughters who are living in major towns during the holiday season so as to perform FGM on the children without the government realizing. "FGM is on the rise in Nakuru town and that's why many grandmothers have adopted the new techniques of instead of the grand daughters visiting them in the rural areas to perform the FGM," Mboya noted. The Director of Gap Link called out on the government and women rights bodies to be extra vigilant during this holiday season. "During this holiday season and festive season the government and the women rights bodies need to be extra vigilant on the ground because this acts of FGM could be going on unnoticed by the systems," said Mboya. GIRLS HAVE STARTED RUNNING AWAY FROM HOME, THIS FGM SEASON IN EAST AFRICA:(,WHILE WE CELEBRATE HOLIDAYS HERE HELPLESS GIRLS ARE RUNNING SCARED:( FORWARD UK IS HELPING CDF WITH TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN TANZANIA..AMB LUCY MASHUA

In Tanzania girls are fleeing home away from the knife, Mara — SOME girls have started fleeing their homes fearing that they might be forced to undergo female genital mutilation (FGM) this season, in the Northern Tarime District of Mara Region. Children Dignity Forum (CDF), a local NGO that has been on the forefront of anti-FGM awareness campaigns in Tarime in recent years, confirmed the reports yesterday. "Last week, there were three girls who fled from Masurura and Kitaguti villages about 60 km to Tarime town and they spent two days on the way," the CDF Mobilizing Actions to Safeguard Girls Rights Coordinator, Mr Joram Wimmo, said.
"We are making arrangements to send the girls to Masanga where there is a rescue centre," the official added. There is fear that about hundreds of girls mostly school children are line-up for mutilation in the entire Tarime District of Mara Region. FGM is illegal, according to the law. The organization strives to cut the number of girls lined-up for mutilation this season (November and December) in the area. Mr Wimmo also said the NGO is getting support from the police gender desk at the Tarime Special Regional Police Zone. A few weeks ago the NGO conducted an anti-FGM public dialogue that brought together key stakeholders such as girls, mutilators, parents, local, religious and traditional leaders. They are also going through Tarime rural villages conducting meetings to deliver anti-FGM messages in the area, according to Mr Wimmo. Under the project, CDF is also creating awareness campaigns against child marriages and early pregnancies in various parts of Mara Region. The NGO is getting technical support from Forward (UK) and sponsored by COMIC Relief also from the UK. Thank you to this two forward UK and COMIC relief organisations supporting CDF.

FGM IS A GENDER DISCRIMINATION BY CULTURE AND RELIGION.

Njoro Division Officer (DISTRICT OFFICER), Peter Kariuki, has warned that any parent who will be found carrying out Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) during the coming December holiday will be arrested and taken to the court. Speaking during an academic day at Kongongeri Primary School, Kariuki said that those parents who still practise FGM are going against the new Constitution, adding that traditional mutilation method on women has been buried. "Mutilation among our girls is a kind of discrimination, and has both physically and mentally problems and therefore it should not be practised,” he noted. He told the area chiefs to be more serious on this issue to ensure that the girls are no longer subjected to discrimination by the culture or religion!.

When will UN,WHO,AMNEST INTERNATIONAL,UNFPA,UNICEF,INTERNATIONAL/NATIONAL POLICY MAKERS IN WESTERN COUNTRIES,INTL MEDIA and other sleeping giants give the correct statistics on FGM survivors and victims? This is annoying their fake statistics have never changed since two decades ago. remain 130 million and yet.....By Amb Lucy Mashua

It was over 20 years ago since WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION gave out the statistics of over 130 million FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION survivors in the world!. 2 million every year in Africa alone and a total of 3 million in the world, To this date organisations and media that should know better continue blindly or ignorantly publish the outdated figure to this day CAUSING MORE PEOPLE TO IGNORE THIS ATROCITY OF FEMALE GENITAL GENOCIDE AND DEATHS! Shame on you insensitive clicks!!. The truth is and kindly do the MATH if globally every year 3 million are subjected to FGM,8000 every day one girl every 11 seconds what is the total number? ooh don't forget those who bleed to death, those who die giving birth, those who die slowly due to complications (FGM side effects), Those who are killed running away from FGM, thousands every year who are forced to sex trafficking running from FGM. I SAY YOU DON'T CARE A SINGLE BIT ABOUT FGM OR WHO IT IS AFFECTING BECAUSE THERE IS NO LARGE PROFIT TIED TO FGM LIKE IN WAR,EBOLA ,HIV/AIDS,VACCINES, A CLASSY ATROCITY THAT WOULD GIVE YOU MORE PUBLICITY(WITH FGM WE TALK ABOUT MUTILATED VAGINAS ,BLEEDING AND ROTTEN),TERRORISM AND PRECIOUS MINERALS OR OIL! Shame on you for prying on the weak deriving fame and funds though the suffering of the voiceless. Your work is to silence the unawares by spreading propaganda and filthy lies! Here is what my sister LINDA MAY KALLESTEIN wrote a couple of days ago on her blog,(she did a great documentary in our village called the CUT six years ago).
http://lindamaykallestein.com/2012/10/15/a-story-i-wish-i-no-longer-had-to-tell/ "When I started working on the documentary “The Cut” , the World Health Organization estimated that about 120 million girls and women currently alive were mutilated. Had had their genitals sliced off. And that 2 million new girls joined their ranks every year. That was in 2006. 6 years have since passed. Do the math with me: 6 years times 2 million new victims equals 12 million additional girls and women. This means there has to be over 132 million girls and women who suffer from the aftermath of female genital mutilation. Well, maybe not quite that many. Some of the newer cut ones never made it. They died during or short time after the “procedure”. And I am guessing some of the original 120 million have also died during these years. A few of old age, any type of illness or accidents. However: most of those who have died have done so from late complications of their mutilation. Severe infections that just got out of hand. Childbirth from a too tight vagina and poor maternal healthcare combined. So let’s round it off to an even 130 million currently living victims. In 5 years time you can add another 10 million. Minus those who die, of course. I wish I never had to tell this story again, but as long as the explosive growth of 2 new million girls are added to the population of mutilated females I will continue to tell the story. It will continue to break my heart every time. Make me feel as helpless as I feel I am. Which of course is nothing, compared to the pain and suffering 130 million girls and women experience on a daily basis. Nothing compared to the terror 6000 thousand girls are faced with today. Who probably will not get much sleep tonight, just hoping that they will not bleed to death. Or even just hoping not to pee. Imagine the sting of urine in an open meat sore, where their genitals used to be?" Wake up sleeping, selfish ignorant giants time to update the correct statistics ,apologise, or else we will hold you accomplices to this atrocity and blame the death of thousands of girls and women on you!. I KNOW YOU WILL NEVER INVITE ME ON YOUR PANELS OR YOUR FIRST CLASS CONFERENCES AND I DON'T CARE, MY LOYALTY REMAINS TO MY FELLOW SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS.

Police in Kenya rescue five girls FGM Survivors from bleeding to death after they were mutilated,They also arrested the parents and the mutilators! by Ambassador Lucy Mashua

Five teenage girls are admitted at Kyuso District Hospital in Kitui after they were forcefully multilated by their parents. The five, aged between 13 and 18 years, were rescued by Administration Police after they received information about the incident. Mumoni AP commander who ordered the operation to rescue the girls and arrest the perpetrators said two of the girls were found in their homes while three were found hidden in a bush where they had been taken for the mutilation. He said four women were arrested among them a traditional mutilator and the parents of the girls. “When we got the report from the area chief, I immediately dispatched officers who arrested the four women and rescued the girls. Unfortunately the girls had already been mutilated and we rushed them to hospital because they had lost a lot of blood and were walking with difficulty,” said Mohamed. The women are held at Kyuso police station. Female genital mutilation is illegal in the country. Mohamed said the practice is still rampant in the area inhabited by the Tharaka community but warned that stern action will be taken against parents found subjecting their children to the FGM. “We are sending a very strong warning to the community in that area that FGM is outlawed and it will not be tolerated at all. Those who still practice it will face severe punishment as per the law. They should know that such act amounts to abuse of children rights,” he said. It is believed that parents in the area take advantage of the holiday season to subject female children to FGM, majority of whom are married off after the brutal practice.

FGM RACIST CAKE.ALL SURVIVORS OF FGM WANT IS A TRUE APOLGY ,THAT IS ALL WE ASK.SIGN OUR PETITION AT CHANGE.ORG IN SOLIDARITY.

Dear Minister for Swedish Culture, This letter is written on behalf of everyone who has either died, survived or is advocating an end to the harmful cultural practice of female genital mutilation. Before writing this letter, a honest attempt has been made to unravel the exact events of what actually happened and why at the Moderna Museet concerning the Swedish Artists organisation cultural event that took place within this last week. In the research undertaken for the writing of this letter, it is of the understanding that you are a supposed supporter of anti-FGM campaigns and that Sweden takes a serious stance against this extreme gender –based violence. This subject based on long cultural traditions but is widely recognised as being very harmful and causing deaths to many girls and women. In fact, to date, it is not completely known how many women and girls have actually died, given that deaths are under reported and in rural Africa true figures are not known. What we do know is that injury and complications are serious and a life-time of health complications results. Facts that you should be well aware of given your interest in the subject. So, it is with astonishment that you took part in this dreadful and de-based spectacle. In your defence, journalists have argued that you walked into something in which you were unaware the full ramifications of. That once in the room, you had to go along with it. This is no defence. You must have known how much insult you would cause and what a media disaster this would be for you and the party you represent. You should have known exactly what you were attending and what you would be expected to do. There is no reason that can be seen as to how this was ever going to ever help the anti-FGM cause and make a point of its abhorrence. It was a theatrical spectacle where the whole issue was made into a joke, something to be laughed at. This may very well had been the last thing you wanted but this is the result. And the result is mortifying to those directly affected. Therefore, this letter is asking for a full public apology not only from yourself but from the artist Makode Linde for the extremely misguided actions and the subsequent hurt and potential humiliation you have caused to its victims. We do hope you have the comparison, the moral fibre and the dignity to reply, Yours sincerely, Ambassador Lucy Mashua Assisting and advocating for U.S. refugees and women’s rightsGlobal Ambassador for Ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)Leading the Worldwide Campaign Against FGMLobbying for HR 2221:The Girl's Protection Act sponsored by Rep.
